Contactless Local Delivery

What is "contactless local delivery?"

"Contactless" means we deliver your order to your doorstep, porch or other designated area without waiting for a response, greeting, handshake or any other type of contact that might pose a danger to you or our delivery personnel.

What areas are included in your local delivery zone?

Local delivery is available only to addresses within Belmont, Arlington and Watertown, Massachusetts. Our apologies to customers in other towns. As much as we would like to be able to deliver to you, we simply do not have enough staff to cover a larger area.

How much does local delivery cost?

For orders of $75.00 or more, we will deliver the entire order in one trip for free. If you want items delivered before the entire order is ready, then only the first trip will be free. A fee of $5.00 will be charged for each additonal trip.

For orders unders $75.00, the initial delivery fee is $5.00. If you want items delivered before the entire order is ready, then each additional trip will cost an additional $5.00.

Can I get same-day delivery?

Sorry, but because of the volume of holiday orders and lack of staff, we're not able to fill orders that quickly. If your items are in stock at our store and your order is placed by 3:00pm the day before a delivery, then we will try to get your order to you by 5:00 pm the next day.

Do you deliver every day?

No. Right now, our delivery schedule is Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of each week. In most cases, orders will be delivered by 6:00pm. Sorry we can't offer specific delivery windows.

When does your local delivery service start?

Contactless local delivery service will begin in December 2020 and extend to the end of the month.

Do I need to be home? Where will you leave my package?

You do not need to be home. If there is a specific spot where you would like us to leave your order, please specify it when you place the order. In general, we will make every effort to leave packages in a safe, dry place. We can't be responsible for damage, loss or theft once the package has been delivered, however. In cases where our drivers feel conditions are not safe (e.g. bad weather, excessive thefts in the area, no sheltered spot, etc.), they will bring the package back and we will arrange either another delivery time or ask you to pick up your order instead.
