Josh Funk does it again in the latest installment of the Lady Pancake and Sir French Toast saga!  A new hero, nemesis-turned-friend Baron von Waffle, takes charge when Pancake and French Toast are accidentally turned into children via a de-spoiling machine (who wants to be moldy and crumbly except cheese?) run by Professor Biscotti. As always, the rhyme is perfect, the food puns are delectable, and the illustrations by Brendan Kearnry are just as energetic, fun, and sweet as the story itself. This addition to to Josh Funk's bibliography is a great one, and it's exciting to have another picture book to add to story time that is a perfect read-aloud and can be enjoyed by readers of all ages. Bravo!

About the Author

Josh Funk lives outside Boston with his family. He has a system for eating pancakes so the bottom pancake gets the same amount of syrup as the top. Josh also has two other picture books coming out in 2016: Dear Dragon (Viking/Penguin) and Pirasaurs! (Scholastic). Whilst studying architecture at university, Brendan Kearney realized he didn't like rulers. He then discovered that it wasn't essential to use a ruler when illustrating children's books, and so traded architecture for illustration as quickly as he could. Having now completed his degree, he specializes in children's books, bringing his own chaotic style and ideas to any project. If you can't find him drawing you are likely to find him with a guitar or banjo in hand. Brendan currently lives in the UK.
