This is an enormously satisfying read. Le Carré is in full control of his material - vivid characters, and a tight plot that keeps accelerating to the very last pages. I read it with a smile of recognition at his wonderful descriptive skills, and his ability to unwrap his plot with a steady and sure hand.— Lee
