The latest installment in Larry Smith's Six Word Memoir series is timely, resonant, and incredibly personal. Knowing other people's stories builds friendships and trust, and the brevity of these stories makes them all the more powerful. There are similarities in all our journeys, whether we are descendants of Mayflower pilgrims or are Syrian refugees. We are a nation of immigrants.

— Allison
